As you may know Icons can now be copied and pasted in the get info window. But the routine that allows you to paste in a picture as an icon makes some strange judgements as to what to allow through, and so it usually throws away about half the colors.
But there is an intelligent person out there somewhere. If you copy the icon from another file or folders Info box then all the colors and all the icons go through as is.
These are the first six of my creations. Three of them are for the New Extensions Manager that Apple has released and require a little work around to install.
The three folders that are created by the new Extensions Manager are marked as belonging to the system, and as such you can not edit the names or icons of the folders. To work around this you need to use ResEdit. Once in ResEdit use the ╥Get File/Folder Info╔╙ menu item in the file menu to get info on each folder in turn. Then unselect the system check box. Save the info and close the window. After doing this for each of the folders quit ResEdit and you can do a normal paste of the icons. When you have done all three of the folders then use Resedit to select the System check boxes for the folders once again.
